Fire Crews Dispatched For Smoke On Blue Line

CHICAGO (CBS) -- Fire crews were sent out Thursday morning after smoke was found on the tracks on the CTA Blue Line.

A still-and-box alarm was called when crews found smoke on the Blue Line subway tracks near the Division stop, at Milwaukee Avenue and Division Street.

No injuries were reported.

CBS 2's Don Schwenneker reports service has slowed everywhere on the Blue Line due to the derailment.

The scene is about a mile from the site where a Blue Line train derailed back on July 11, 2006, sparking a smoky. The incident left 152 people injured as they were escorted clumsily through the underground tunnel and had to exit through a hatch that led up to the street.
