Fire At Polish Restaurant May Have Been To Cover Up Burglary
CHICAGO (CBS) -- It turns out there were probably two crimes committed Tuesday at a Polish restaurant on the city's Northwest Side.
As WBBM Newsradio 780's Bernie Tafoya reports, police are investigating the possibility that someone set the fire at the Sami Swoi Polish restaurant, located in a strip mall at Austin Avenue and Addison Street, in order to cover up a burglary.

The Sami Swoi, which has a formal address of 3550 N. Austin Ave., went up flames late Tuesday, a Jefferson Park District lieutenant said. Police learned of the fire about 11 p.m., police said. No one was injured in the blaze, the lieutenant said.
A reported burglary at the same location may be linked to the blaze, the lieutenant said, but officials have yet to determine what caused the fire as of early Wednesday.
A police Bomb & Arson Section investigator said the suspicious fire was likely set to cover up a burglary, as items were missing from inside the establishment.
No one was in custody at Wednesday morning.
