Filmmaker Embarking On 72-Hour Movie Marathon
CHICAGO (WBBM) -- In a Bucktown storefront, you can watch a North Side man watching a movie marathon: 72 hours of movies with only a few bathroom breaks and no sleeping breaks.
The 2001 comedy "Wet Hot American Summer" was what was playing on hour five of Jason Elewski's 72-hour movie marathon on Monday.
"Probably one of my favorite comedies," he said.

Last Friday, Elewski quit his job editing legal depositions. Now he's watching non-stop movies until Thursday morning at 7 a.m.
The object is to stay awake, not get culture.
"I'm getting all the Oscar winners out of the way right now, because it's going to be nothing but low-brow humor during the last leg of it," Elewski said.
His real love is movie producing and his marathon is to promote the Windie City Shootout, a contest for aspiring movie makers who will have 72 hours to make a movie.
"I would definitely like to say that watching three days of movies is going to help me become a better filmmaker, but it's probably just going to hurt my brain for awhile," Elewski said.
