(CBS) -- An autopsy has confirmed that human remains found Friday in a southern Indiana river are those of a former Des Plaines woman.
The remains, found atop corn stalk debris near the mouth of a creek that feeds into the White River, are those of Cathryn McGill, most recently of Chesapeake, Va.

Indiana Dept. of Natural Resources (IDNR) spokesman Mike Kellner said in a press release that the autopsy, conducted in Evansville, determined that McGill drowned.
Police and IDNR personnel had searched for McGill since Dec. 29, when she was swept away after her husband Adam drove around a barrier on a flooded State Route 257, near the border between Pike and Daviess (DAY'-vees) Counties. Cathryn McGill was a passenger in the couple's Chevrolet Colorado pickup truck.
Nearby boaters heard Adam McGill's cries for help and rescued him. The couple had been visiting his family.
