FBI Seeks Serial Bank Robber Dubbed 'Pinball Bandit'
Feds Offer Reward
(STMW) -- The FBI is offering a reward for information about a man dubbed the "Pinball Bandit," wanted for five bank robberies in Chicago over the past month.
The robber earned his nickname because of the frequency and locations of the robberies he's suspected of committing, according to a statement from the FBI. He robbed two banks in one day, just over an hour apart, and struck one of the banks twice in a three-week span.
His first robbery was at the Chase Bank branch at 1204 E. 53rd St. on Jan. 13, the FBI said. He entered the bank at 5:51 p.m., approached an employee and made a threatening demand for money.
He is also suspected of robberies at:
- MB Financial, 5918 N. Broadway, at 4:38 p.m. Jan. 19;
- Chase Bank, 1130 W. Taylor St., at 5:51 p.m. Jan. 19;
- Chase Bank, 1959 W. Division St., at 5:47 p.m. Jan. 25;
- Chase Bank, 1204 E. 53rd St., at 5:38 p.m. Feb. 2.
No injuries have been reported in any of the robberies, according to the FBI.
He has been seen wearing a gray or dark-colored hooded jacket, black pants or jeans, black knit hat, camouflage baseball hat, tan boots and gray scarf.
