FBI Seeks Help In Case Of 'Lunch Box Bandit'
CHICAGO (CBS) -- Federal investigators are asking the public to help crack the case of the "Lunch Box Bandit."
A man has robbed at least two banks on the North Side--and has earned his nickname because he stuffs the loot into a blue lunch box.
He recently robbed a TCF Bank branch at 3570 North Elston Avenue on Jan. 18. He fled in a blue or black car, possibly a Buick LeSabre, the FBI said.
He also is suspected of robbing a TCF Branch at 4660 West Irving Park Road on Dec 20.
He is described as a white male, 5-foot-10 to 6 feet tall, with a medium build. He has worn a black jacket with a hood and a ski mask or scarf wrapped around his face.
Anyone recognizing this individual or having any information about these robberies is asked to call the Chicago FBI at (312) 421-6700.
