FBI: Man Robs Second Waukegan Bank This Month
WAUKEGAN, Ill. (STMW) - Police are looking for a man suspected of robbing his second Waukegan TCF Bank branch this month Wednesday morning in the north suburb.
The man entered the TCF Bank branch at 3124 N. Lewis Ave. in Waukegan about 11:30 a.m. and approached a teller to announce a robbery, according to a statement from the FBI Chicago. No weapon was shown.
The robber is described as a 220- to 250-pound black man wearing a dark baseball cap, striped short-sleeve shirt with a white undershirt, the FBI said.
The same man is believed to have robbed the TCF Bank branch at 922 N. Green Bay Rd. in Waukegan about 12:30 p.m. July 2, the FBI said. In that robbery, witnesses said the man wore a Chicago White Sox jersey and dark baseball cap.
In both cases, the robber fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.
