FBI Believes Same Man Responsible For Three Bank Robberies
CHICAGO (STMW) - A man robbed a TCF Bank branch located on the North West Side Saturday morning, and the FBI believes the man is responsible for robbing two other banks.
At about 10:22 a.m., a man approached a teller at the bank located in the 6400 block of West Irving Park Road, the FBI said in a statement. The robber said he had a weapon and demanded cash, the statement said, adding that the man left the bank with an undisclosed amount of money. No one was injured during the robbery.
Witnesses described the man as a Hispanic male who is 5-foot-9 and 200 pounds, the statement said.
The FBI said the man might have robbed two other banks—a PCN Bank branch located in the 3900 block of North Harlem on Tuesday and a TCF Bank branch located in the 9300 block of West Irving Park Road in August of 2011.
