Man fatally stabbed by woman following argument on Chicago bus overnight
CHICAGO — A man was killed following an argument that led to a stabbing on a CTA bus Friday evening.
According to investigators, the incident happened around 8 p.m. near the intersection of Jackson and Cicero in Chicago, near South Austin and Garfield Park.
Police say the 49-year-old victim got into a verbal fight with a woman on the bus, and that's when she took out a knife and stabbed him in the chest.
Investigators say the woman then left the bus and ran away from the scene.
Paramedics rushed the man to a hospital, but he died of his injuries.
Police do not have anyone in custody. It's not yet clear whether the stabber and the victim knew each other.
