Man dies in crash in Chicago's southwest suburbs
CHICAGO (CBS) -- A man died after a crash in southwest suburban Oak Lawn early Tuesday morning.
Around 3 a.m. Tuesday, Oak Lawn police responded to a crash at the intersection of Cicero Avenue and Southwest Highway.
Police said a car headed southwest on Southwest Highway hit another vehicle headed south on Cicero, pushing the second vehicle into the storefront of a vacant oil change business.
People from both vehicles were taken to the hospital.
One of those people, 27-year-old Eglin Manuel Castro Alvarez, of Midlothian, was pronounced dead at 6:15 a.m. at Advocate Christ Medical Center.
The crash remained under investigation Wednesday afternoon.
