GARY, Ind. (STMW) -- A fatal early morning crash involving three vehicles and a motorcycle shut down the eastbound lanes of Interstate 80/94 during the Monday morning rush hour, according to Indiana State Police.
The crash -- involving two semi trucks, a car and a motorcycle -- occurred about 3:55 a.m. on the Borman Expressway (I-80/94) near Burr Street and left one person dead, Indiana State Police Sergeant Chad Woody said.
Two other people were taken with injuries to an area hospital where they were treated and released, Woody said.
The eastbound lanes of the expressway were still closed as of 7:15 a.m. and traffic was rerouted onto Burr Street, Woody said.
