Fans At Bulls Event Not Optimistic About NBA Season
CHICAGO (CBS) -- A lineup of admitted Bulls fans expressed little optimism that they will be seeing their heroes in action this year, as the NBA impasse heads to court and more delay.
As WBBM Newsradio's John Cody reports, on Wednesday, some 100 fans or so lined up for a handshake with Sidney Green, who played for the Bulls from 1983 to 1986, and Bill Wennington, a bull from 1993 to 1999 who was on three of the six title-winning teams.

The fans also got to see the trophies from the Bulls' six championship runs in the 1990s.
The event was part of Illinois Secretary of State Jesse White's program to boost sales of sports team license plates. The plates, which honor the Bulls, Bears, Cubs and White Sox, sell for $69 with $25 going to the Illinois School Fund.
In line, WBBM Newsradio found the dueling duo of Star and her friend L.D. who was one of the only fans expressing optimism.
"Yeah, there will be basketball – probably by Christmas – and if it's not by Christmas, then I think it's not even worth having the season this year," he said.
Star had no such hope.
"You can quote me," she said. "They're not going to have a season this year." She said she would buy L.D. lunch if she was wrong.
Former Bull Green said on the subject, "I'm optimistic, but I'm optimistic about everything."
