Family Wants Answers After Army Vet Fatally Shot On South Side
(CBS) -- Police want to know who killed an army veteran at point blank range Monday night on the South Side.
39-year-old Gabriel Stevens was found shot to death in the Auburn Gresham neighborhood.
Authorities say Stevens was riding a bike around 9 p.m. Monday night when a red car pulled up next to him and shot him. Now his family wants answers.
"Something has to change with this city," said Sharon Stevens, the victim's sister-in-law. "I don't know what the mayor's response is going to be or the police superintendent what they are going to do but they have to do something so that we can save our children."
Stevens served in the army for five years.
