Family Seeks Owner Of Lost $1,000
SKOKIE, Ill. (WBBM) -- A north suburban family is trying to find the owner of an envelope of over $1,000 in cash lost four days before Christmas.
As WBBM Newsradio 780's Nancy Harty reports, after finding the money on the sidewalk of the Old Orchard Place Mall, Shannon Dowdle waited an hour for the owner of the cash to return. She finally left her number with store clerks nearby.

Her husband, Rick Dowdle, says an elderly woman asked about the cash the next day, but a new set of employees didn't know about it.
The Dowdles came in the following day and missed the woman by hours.
"It's like a movie, where someone walks in one door, and someone else is walking out the other door," Rick Dowdle said.
The Dowdles have reached out to the bank named on the envelope, local police, mall security, and area stores. They have even set up an e-mail account, but Rick Dowdle plans to scrutinize responses.
"People need to know the bank, they need to know the amount, they need to know the denomination, they need to know where," he said.
Dowdle says if he and his wife cannot find the owners, they will take the money to a Glenview charity.
