Family Of Zion Teen Asks For Help Solving His Murder
(CBS) – Shots ring out at a Halloween party in the far north suburbs and a teenager dies.
Fifteen-year-old Adarius Green was killed in Zion. At the very scene where he died, family and friends held a vigil to ask community members: If you know something, say something.
"You have to speak up, because this is going to continue," the victim's mother, Nikkia Oliver, tells CBS 2's Dana Kozlov.
Also on hand were the victim's sister and 50 family members and friends.
Oliver says a fight broke out, then guns, and her son was hit.
"My baby didn't come home," she says.
