F--- It: Wicker Park Signs Removed By City
By John Dodge
CHICAGO (CBS) -- A few unusual street signs popped up in Wicker Park earlier this week, but were quickly removed by the city.
One of the signs on Milwaukee Avenue, between North and Honore, simply said "F--- It." The photo was posted on Reddit.
In an amusing juxtaposition, a legitimate sign on a nearby business said, "Kids Rule."
Few parents would argue with that.
City crews removed that sign, along with two others that had been put up around the neighborhood.
City spokeswoman Molly Poppe said crews took down three signs along Milwaukee Avenue within an hour after they were first reported to the city.
Another person claimed on Reddit that he had possession of another sign, which was posted online.
So far, nobody has claimed responsibility for creating the signs.
