Explanation From PSU Board On Paterno's Firing
(WSCR) For the first time since the firing of Penn State head football coach Joe Paterno, the Penn State Board of Trustees addressed their decision to part ways with one of the most storied figures in college football history.
In this New York Times article, members of the board defend their decision to fire Paterno.
"I thought of the mothers of all those boys in the presentment," trustee Stephanie Nolan Deviney recalled this week. "And I thought about what they must feel when they kiss their sons good night."
