Expert Picks: Vikings Won't Be A Problem For Bears At Home

(CBS) Every week during the Bears season, our experts from 670 The Score, CBS2 and WBBM Newsradio 780 & 105.9 FM will provide their weekly picks for the Bears game. This time, it's nearly unanimous, as all but one of our experts are going with the Bears:

Brian Hanley Dan McNeil Terry Boers
Bears 24, Vikings 16 Bears 30, Vikings 17 Bears 31, Vikings 16
Look for Minnesota to force feed the run until the Bears show they can stop Adrian Peterson. Or until the Vikings trail by 14 or more and have to put the game in Christian Ponder or Matt Cassel's hands. It's difficult for me not to look at this as a recreational exercise for the Bears after both teams' Week 1 performances. Reminder: Adrian Peterson is healthy. So sorry, Dick Gregory's pick was a flop, and I no longer have an appetite. Help me, Dick Fosbury! He says jump all over the beloved Bears.
Record: 0-1 Record: 0-1 Record: 0-1

Hub Arkush Adam Hoge Matt Spiegel
Bears 30, Vikings 20 Bears 24, Vikings 13 Bears 27, Vikings 17
The Bears still have a ton of work to do and keeping AP within reason is never a sure thing. But Trestman still has a lot we haven't seen and even if they do need a little help again, Christian Ponder is likely to give it to them. The offense will continue to be hit-or-miss as they continue to get in sync. Adrian Peterson is great, but Christian Ponder is not. Vikings are just too one-dimensional. The offense clicks comfortably by the second quarter with Brandon Marshall and Alshon Jeffrey each coming down with TD passes. D.J. Williams leads the linebackers in keeping AP under 100 yards.
Record: 0-1 Record: 1-0 Record: 0-1

Ben Finfer Matt Abbatacola Jay Zawaski
Bears 28, Vikings 23 Bears 38, Vikings 17 Bears 31, Vikings 10
It shouldn't take two and half quarters for the offense to figure things out this week. I expect another good game for Jay Cutler and Matt Forte to do his best Reggie Bush impression. But most importantly --Christian Ponder. 2-0 in the Marc Trestman era. That's all I have to say about that. Yes, Adrian Peterson is the best in football, and when it's all said and done, may be the best to ever play the game. He can't do it alone, though. Christian Ponder is an interception fest waiting to happen. Cutler and Co. will take advantage of a short field, and run it up on the Vikings.
Record: 1-0 Record: 1-0 Record: 0-1

Ryan Baker Dan Durkin Josh Liss
Bears 28, Vikings 21 Bears 27, Vikings 20 Vikings 31, Bears 24
Adrian Peterson has been a Monster on the Midway, but with a turnover prone QB, there isn't much to Ponder. With Christian Ponder at the trigger, the Vikings remain a one-dimensional offense. Schematically, this simplifies a defensive coordinators' game plan, as they don't have to cover every area of the field. I anticipate a big day from Matt Forte as the Bears run their record to 2-0. Ponder will match Cutler with big passing numbers, and inconvenient interceptions. It's Adrian Peterson, running healthy, who'll bore a hole in the Bears' defense.
Record: 0-1 Record: 1-0 Record: 1-0
