Exhibit Documents Work Of Renowned Photojournalist
John H. White Has Been With Sun-Times Since 1978
CHICAGO (CBS) - A retrospective photo exhibit by a Pulitzer Prize-winning Chicago Sun-Times photographer is on display downtown.
The exhibit, "Keep in Flight: John H. White Photography Exhibit," features the work of the Sun-Times feature photographer, who has been with the paper since 1978. White won the Pulitzer for feature photography in 1982.
The display will be at one of the city's oldest churches, First United Methodist Church. The church is located in the historic Chicago Temple Building, which has converted part of its second floor into an art gallery.
White said having his work on display in Chicago is an honor.
The exhibit is open until Feb. 28. Admission is free.
White also teaches photojournalism at Columbia College, where scholarship bearing his name is offered every year to two high school students who have presented outstanding work in photojournalism.
