Ex-Hawk Ladd Signs 5-Year Extension With Winnipeg
(CBS) Former Blackhawks forward Andrew Ladd has signed a long-term extension with the Winnipeg Jets, the team announced Tuesday.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed by the Jets but the deal is worth $22 million over five years according to TSN's Darren Dreger.
Ladd led the Atlanta Thrashers with 29 goals and 59 points last season and served as the team captain. The Thrashers moved to Winnipeg last month and it became apparent that the Jets wanted to lock the forward up long-term.
Ladd is a two-time Stanley Cup Champion, having won it all in 2006 with Carolina and 2010 with the Blackhawks.
