Ex-Blackhawk Byfuglien's House Up For Sale
CHICAGO (CBS) - Are you a devoted Blackhawks fanatic? Did you map out every move of the Stanley Cup this past summer? Do you know all the words to "Here Come the Hawks" and "Chelsea Dagger?"
And most importantly, do you have $1.29 million (or at least enough for a downpayment on something worth that much?)
If so, you might find the ultimate buy right now in the Roscoe Village neighborhood.
Former Blackhawks right winger and defenseman Dustin Byfuglien was traded to the Atlanta Thrashers after the team won the Stanley Cup, so he is selling his Chicago house, at 1822 W. School St.
The 4,200 square-foot stucco and stone house has five bedrooms and three fireplaces – including an outdoor wood-burning fireplace. Byfuglien, 25, bought the house two years ago for $1.265 million and lived there with longtime girlfriend Emily Hendry, the Chicago Tribune reported.
The house was built in 2007 and 2008, and also features 3 1/2 spa-caliber stone baths, a professional-grade chef's kitchen, a deck on the garage, and slate, copper and stone accents, the Tribune reported.
Byfuglien also added a media and entertainment center, security cameras and full closet organizers, and converted a bedroom into a theater room with a drop-down movie screen, the Tribune reported.
Unfortunately, you won't find a practice rink in the house.
