Evanston Brings Back First Night Celebration
(CBS) -- A beloved Evanston tradition is back this New Year's Eve.
"We are back in action. We have been dark for the past several years," said event organizer Stuart Rosenberg.
Evanston Brings Back First Night Celebration
After six years, First Night Evanston returns on Tuesday. Rosenberg says the day will feature an afternoon of activities for children and an evening of music, dance and food for the entire family.
"We have seven different venues, all arranged around Raymond Park in downtown Evanston, so you can walk from one venue to the next and you can see everything from Howard Levy playing jazz harmonica to Corky Siegal playing chamber blues. We have got something for everybody," said Rosenberg.
The event is in coordination with Evanston's 150th anniversary year.
