ESPN's Stuart Scott Announces He Has Cancer
(CBS) Popular ESPN anchor Stuart Scott announced via Twitter on Monday night that he is battling cancer for the third time.
"Blessed by prayers," Scott said through his Twitter account. "I'm back in the Fight. C reared its head again. Chemo evry 2 wks but I'll still work, still work out..still #LIVESTRONG"
Scott was first diagnosed in 2007, when doctors discovered he had cancer of the appendix during a routine appendectomy. After chemotherapy, he was well until 2011, when doctors found cancerous tumors in his small intestine. Scott then underwent surgery and another round of chemo.
He was cancer-free until now.
There is no word where his current cancer is located.
