Equipment Problems Cause Orange Line Service Interruption
CHICAGO (STMW) - Equipment problems on the CTA Orange Line Saturday evening has led to some delays and reroutes.
Service on the Orange Line has been suspended between the Western and 35th/Archer stations due to equipment problems at Western, according to a CTA system alert.
As a result, trains are operating in two sections:
• Between the Midway Terminal and the Western station, and,
• Between the 35th/Archer station and the Loop.
Shuttle buses are available to provide connecting service through the affected area.
Riders can get further assistance from station personnel.
The CTA is working to restore service as quickly as possible, according to the alert. Riders should, however, allow extra travel time.
