Emery Wants To Build 'Best Relationship Possible' With Lovie
(WSCR) Shortly after he was introduced as the Bears new general manager, Phil Emery joined The Boers and Bernstein Show.
Though Emery, who comes to the Bears from the Chiefs where he was the director of college scouting, doesn't have the power to hire his own head coach for the 2012 season, he isn't focused on anything other than winning championships.
"What my head is around is doing everything I can to help the Chicago Bears reach a championship as soon as possible," Emery said. "In terms of my relationship with Lovie, what I'm looking to do is develop the best relationship possible so we can move forward toward a championship with the Chicago Bears."

Emery said it's not about him having all the power, it's about everyone working together.
"I've been on a lot of teams," he said. "The teams that are most successful are the people that work together toward a common goal, and that's what we're going to do here. In terms of having a plan, that is the plan. The ultimate goal is to win championships, to do it together, to use the resources that we have to add where we need to add."
