Emergency Crews Respond To Building Collapse
CHICAGO (CBS) -- Nobody was injured after a building collapse on the North Side on Friday.
According to initial information, workers may have been renovating an old coach house or large garage at 1551 N. Mohawk.
At first, there were reports that some of the workers may have been missing. However, after the fire department responded, all workers were located. None of the workers was near the building at the time of the collapse.
The Chicago Fire Department reported on Twitter that the workers were jacking up the building to do some foundation work at the time of the collapse. No injuries were reported.
Emergency crews were working to stabilize the structure.
