Emanuel: Progressive Field Was Cubs' 'Field Of Dreams' In Game 6
CHICAGO (CBS) -- With the Cubs on the verge of their first World Series championship in 108 years, Mayor Rahm Emanuel tried to attach a new nickname to the rival Indians' ballpark after the Cubs dominating 9-3 win in Game 6 on Tuesday.
"It was a Field of Dreams yesterday at Progressive Field for all of us Cub fans," he said Wednesday. "It was an incredible game for all of us who held our breath for the last 70-plus years, so it was a great opportunity."
The Cubs have won two of the three games played at Progressive Field so far, and they send right-hander Kyle Hendricks to the mound for Game 7 on Wednesday night. Hendricks led the National League in ERA in the regular season at 2.13 and has the second-best postseason ERA of any starter for either team in the World Series at 1.31.

However, the biggest challenge for the Cubs will be solving Indians ace Corey Kluber, who has a stellar 0.89 postseason ERA and has already beat the Cubs twice in the series. The Cubs will be hoping Kluber will be off his game when he makes his second consecutive start on only three days' rest.

Emanuel said he's heading to Cleveland to cheer on the Cubs, and the entire city is behind the team.
"This has been an incredible season, but more importantly it's been an incredible week of dreams finally being realized," he said.
The mayor said the Cubs have captured the city's imagination, and the series with the Indians has captured the imagination of the entire nation.
