Elderly Woman's Missing Handicapped Placard Found, Man Charged With Unlawful Use
CHICAGO (CBS) -- It's been more than two years since a 73-year-old Chicago woman lost her handicapped parking placard.
But police say they found it over the weekend, in a car belonging to a healthy, 35-year-old man.
An employee at Brookfield Zoo called police after spotting the car in the parking lot Saturday.
Police say the driver, Shalimar Boyd of Hillside, claimed he'd found the placard more than a year ago and had been using it ever since.
He's charged with using it without authorization.
