Elderly Man With Cane Robs Niles Bank
(STMW) -- An elderly man robbed a Harris Bank branch Saturday morning in north suburban Niles.
The robbery occurred about 9:45 a.m. Saturday at the branch in the 7000 block of West Dempster Street in Niles, FBI spokeswoman Joan Hyde said.
The suspect, thought to be about 80 years old and walking with a cane, displayed a weapon and asked for money, Hyde said.
No one was injured during the robbery.
Niles police were not immediately available for comment.
