Elderly Man With Alzheimer's Missing From Irving Park
CHICAGO (STMW) -- An elderly man suffering from Alzheimer's disease went missing Sunday from his Irving Park neighborhood home on the North Side.
Freddie Burgos, 73, was last seen at 8 a.m. when he left his home in the 3800 block of North Albany Avenue, according to a community alert from Area North detectives.
He suffers from Alzheimer's disease and high blood pressure, the alert said. He is wearing a medic alert bracelet but is not carrying any money or identification.
Burgos, who is the father of a Chicago Police officer, may frequent Horner or Humboldt parks, the alert said.
He is described as a white Hispanic with a medium complexion, 5-feet-7, 145 pounds with brown hair and gray eyes, the alert said. He has a tattoo of an eagle on his right bicep.
Burgos was last seen wearing a red sweatshirt with "USA" on the front, blue jean slacks and black shoes, according to the alert.
