Elderly Man Hospitalized After South Side Apartment Fire
CHICAGO (STMW) - A 73-year-old man was hospitalized after a fire in his Burnside neighborhood apartment Tuesday evening on the South Side.
Firefighters responded about 5:30 p.m. to the fire in a two-story multi-unit apartment building at 9025 S. Cottage Grove Avenue, according to Fire Media Affairs.
A 73-year-old man was taken to Advocate Trinity Hospital after suffering minor smoke inhalation, fire officials said.
No other injuries were reported. The cause is under investigation.
