Eddie, JoBo Return To Radio On New 104.3 FM

CHICAGO (CBS) -- Veteran Chicago radio personalities Ed Volkman and Joe Bohannon are returning to the CBS family, this time on a re-formatted WJMK (JACK-FM).

The new 104.3 FM "K-HITS" will offer hit music from the 60s, 70s and 80s with Eddie and JoBo spearheading the morning drive show. The new format takes effect on Monday at 1:04 p.m.

Up until three years ago, the duo had been among the showcase talent on CBS-owned B96-FM.

Joining Eddie and JoBo will be Gary Spears and Bo Reynolds, among others.

Eddie and JoBo will air every weekday morning (5:30-10:00 a.m.).

Spears, one of the original B-96 Hot Hits jocks from 1982-84, follows as host of middays (10:00AM-3:00 p.m.). Spears also could be heard on B-96 from 1990-94.

Afternoon drive (3:00-8:00 p.m.) will be presented by Bo Reynolds, a Chicago radio veteran who had a successful run on B-96 from 1987-90. Evening and weekend talent will be announced at a later date. In the meantime, various guest hosts familiar to Chicago audiences will fill in during these time periods.

The station will be available on-air, online at www.khitschicago.com, and via the Radio.com app available on a variety of mobile devices.

"This is one of the most exciting days in our long history in Chicago radio," Eddie and Jobo said in a joint statement. "To be rookies again, starting on a brand new radio station in our hometown is, well who said you can't go home?"

As much as the station is about the music, it will be equally about the local community, and the on-air talent who give the station its personality."
