"First, no troops on the ground from the United States. Second, we are prepared to see other nations lead. The United States does not have to be the lead, and third, we're fully supportive of this effort – Qaddafi is a disaster," Durbin said.
Durbin calls Libyan dictator Muammar Qaddafi a madman, and says the sooner he's gone, the better. He says the U.S. and its allies need to stabilize the situation.
Durbin says he does not want to set a deadline, but agrees with President Barack Obama's desire to see the action completed in days or weeks, not longer.
