Dunn's Struggles Have Been 'Very Bizarre'
CHICAGO (WSCR) Adam Dunn's struggles at the beginning of the season were chalked up the slugger being unfamiliar with American League pitching and the adjustment to being a full-time designed hitter.
However, 55 games into the season, those struggles are harder to explain.
"It's very bizarre," Mark Gonzales, of the Chicago Tribune, said on the Matt Abbatacola Show. "He's missing pitches down the middle. Sometimes he does have a good eye, you look at the walks, and the game he drew four walks. But I wish I could pinpoint it, you got me on this one."

So far this season, Dunn's .181 batting average is 67 points below his career average and has the lowest home run percentage (2.5%) of his career.
"You know, we all knew he struck out a lot," Gonzales said. "But we always thought he'd hit a lot of homers too. We're not even seeing the home runs."
