Dunn's Goal Is Clear...World Series
Adam Dunn has put up impressive individual numbers throughout his career, but he has never been on a team with a legitimate shot at a World Series. Dunn feels that the White Sox are that kind of team.
"I know I'm going to a team that's already been very success," Dunn said during his introductory press conference. "This is a great opportunity to not just win, but to win a World Series. And that's everyone's goal and that's that I plan to do."

A lot of players say the same thing when they're introduced to the media and their new fans. But appears as if Dunn is willing to do whatever it takes to get to that point. It was rumored that Dunn didn't want to play as a designated hitter, which is why it was thought he would stay in the National League.
Dunn quickly put that notion to rest.
"I don't care," Dunn said. "I'm at the point now where I'm on a team that's got a chance to win a World Series. I'll do whatever they want me to do, how ever often they want me to do it. I'm OK to do anything. Like I said this is my first chance to contend for a World Series and I'll do whatever they want me to do."
