Dunn To Play First Base In National League Parks
CHICAGO (WSCR) After the Chicago White Sox wrap up their series in Minnesota, they'll pick up their interleague schedule with a trip to Arizona, where Adam Dunn will return some some familiar territory.
According to manager Ozzie Guillen, Dunn will log some time at first base.
"He will play maybe one or two games out there," Guillen told the Chicago Tribune's Mark Gonzales. "I like the way he's swinging the bat right now. It's getting better and better. Hopefully, he'll continue to have some progress and hopefully we take advantage of that."
Dunn has played only 10 games in the field this year, all at first base, and Guillen even considered playing him in the outfield, where also played while in the National League.
"He misses a ball at first base, it's one base or two," Guillen said. "He misses in left field, it's three bases. We'll think about it, but our outfielders are pretty good. But he will get some playing time."
