DUI Offender Makes Public Service Video
DEMOTTE, Ind. (WBBM) -- A public service video from a convicted drunken driver is on its way to schools, churches and other agencies in Indiana.
As WBBM Newsradio 780's Julie Mann reports, the anti-drinking and driving message comes from Dean Tillema III, 22, of DeMotte, Ind. Last week, he was sentenced to 12 years in prison for killing two of his friends in a drunken-driving crash last May.

The Northwest Indiana Times reports the video is being distributed by his attorney, and features Tillema talking about his decision to drink alcohol and drive his friends, urging teens not to make the same mistake he did.
The video was posted on YouTube last fall. Its release before Tillema was actually sentenced for the crash was criticized by the families of the victims.
