Drunk Driver Calls Police, Gets Arrested
CHICAGO (WBBM) - A driver from south suburban Lynwood ended up getting himself arrested by calling Illinois State Police and telling them he was drunk, lost and out of gasoline.
State Police say 42-year-old Dante Owens call a dispatcher yesterday morning to report he was out of gasoline and had no idea where he was. The dispatcher asked some questions and says Owens admitted he was drunk, had no idea where he had come from or where he was headed. His cell phone signal was traced to state Route 17 and 70-hundred West road near Momence.
