Driver Injured When Car Ends Up In Trees Off Edens Expressway
CHICAGO (CBS) -- A driver was injured Wednesday morning after crashing into the barrier wall on the outbound Edens Expressway.
As CBS 2's Kris Habermehl reports, he crash happened just before 6 a.m. on the outbound Edens near Wilson Avenue.
The driver swung wide and crashed into the barrier wall, ending up in the trees on the side of the expressway.
The driver was taken to an area hospital in an unknown condition. The car was wrecked.
As a result of the crash, traffic was backed up more than usual on the Kennedy Expressway during the early morning rush, and the left lane on the outbound Edens was closed until around 6:30 a.m.
