Driver Flags Down IDOT Worker After Being Shot
CHICAGO (CBS) -- A driver on the Bishop Ford Freeway pulled over and flagged down an Illinois Department of Transportation worker overnight.
It turned out the driver had been shot.
The driver stopped his white sport-utility vehicle on the expressway (I-94) near 130th Street around midnight Thursday night, according to Illinois State Police.
The man said he had been shot in Dolton, state police said.
State police said Dolton police are handling the investigation. Few other details were released Friday morning, but the driver was reported in critical condition.
