Down 3-1, But Bulls Believe Series Is 'Not Over'
CHICAGO (CBS) In their biggest game of the season, the Chicago Bulls had a chance to end the game in regulation. And in that situation, there was only one person head coach Tom Thibodeau wanted taking that final shot.
"Derrick Rose," Thibodeau said. "I wouldn't want to have any other guy. I'm with that guy all the way. He's a great player, great competitor and I have great belief in him."
It was one-on-one with Rose and LeBron James, but the youngest MVP in league history missed a jump-shot and the Bulls would eventually lose in overtime.
The series now shifts back to Chicago for Game 5, the Bulls trail 3-1 and are one game away from being knocked out of the playoffs.
But Chicago doesn't plan on stepping aside and letting the Heat walk to the NBA Finals.
"It's not over," Rose said. "We still have games to play. Thibs talked to us in the locker room about it, where we're going back to play at home and we just have to stay positive, where they are beatable."
Carlos Boozer agreed with Rose, and the Bulls' sole focus rests on winning Game 5.
"I believe everybody in this room believes that," Carlos Boozer said. "And for us, we just have to get back to practice tomorrow, look at the mistakes that we made and try to correct them for the next one."
