Did Epstein Outbid Sharp?
(WSCR) Rarely do you see competition between the Blackhawks and the Cubs.
On Tuesday, reports indicated Cubs president Theo Epstein purchased a $3.25 million home located just blocks from Wrigley Field. Although according to a report from the Chicago Tribune, public records show that Blackhawks right wing Patrick Sharp signed a contract to buy the house on Sept. 15, and then canceled the contract on Oct. 21, just five days before Epstein closed on it.
The house had been listed for $2.99 million, but Epstein purchased it for $3.25 million.
Could there have been a bidding war?
