Did The Bulls Play 'Above Their Heads' In The Regular Season?
CHICAGO (WSCR) The Chicago Bulls were one of the most dominant teams during the regular season, posting 62 wins and the best record in the entire NBA.
"Well first of all, 'Thibs' did a fantastic job," Marc Spears, of Yahoo! Sports, said on the Mully and Hanley Show. "I know him really well [from] Boston. I think a lot of people were curious about how he was going to do as a head coach, you know, on the NBA level. You know, on whether there were going to be some growing pains there, and there weren't."

However, the Bulls have struggled so far in the playoffs and are tied with the Atlanta Hawks with one game each in the Eastern Conference semifinals.
"The Bulls overcame those two major injuries to [Joakim] Noah and [Carlos] Boozer [in the regular season]," Spears said. "And I always kind of felt they played above their heads a little bit. I was stunned by their record. And to me, that just speaks to the greatness of Derrick Rose and why he's the MVP."
The Bulls-Hawks matchup now shifts to Atlanta, and coming off a Game 2 win, the Bulls are carrying some momentum.
There's potential for the series to be all but officially be decided over these next two games.
"Atlanta is a team where they could beat anybody on any given night, and they could lose to somebody on any given night," Spears said. "I don't know what to expect from them."
