Despite Fines For 'Sexting' Scandal, Sponsors Sticking With Favre
The NFL couldn't prove that Brett Favre sent inappropriate text messages to, then, New York Jets reporter Jenn Sterger, but they still fined him $50,000 for not cooperating in investigations.
Despite the negative publicity and fine, Favre's sponsors are standing by the Vikings quarterback.
A spokesperson for VF Corp.'s Wrangler jeans told the Chicago Tribune that the company still has Favre under contract, and will continue to run his commercials. They wouldn't, however, comment on the NFL's fine.
Another of Favre's sponsors, Briggs & Stratton, still has a picture of Favre on the website for their Snapper brand, which produces lawn mowers, snow throwers and other products.
