Derrick Rose Unlikely To Play Tonight At Philadelphia
(CBS) Bulls point guard Derrick Rose will likely sit out this evening's game at Philadelphia as he deals with a pair of sprained ankles, the Chicago Tribune reported.
"It's a little sore," Rose said after sitting out Friday morning's shootaround, according to the Tribune. "You never know how something could turn out in the next couple hours so tonight when I come back in here really give it a warmup. If I can't play, don't worry about it. Just trying to be in here for the long haul."
Rose sprained both ankles in last Friday's loss to the Cavaliers. He sat out the next two games before returning against the Bucks on Wednesday, when he scored 13 points and seven assists in 31 minutes. Rose admitted he wasn't 100 percent after the game but wanted to contribute what he could. On Friday morning, he expressed concern that he couldn't attack the hoop like he wanted because of his sore ankles.
"It's just that I wasn't able to play the way I normally play," Rose told the Tribune.
Rose was officially listed as questionable by the Bulls on Thursday. Joakim Noah is expected to play tonight after missing two games with an illness.
