Derrick Rose Rear-Ended On Kennedy Expressway
CHICAGO (CBS) -- Chicago Bulls guard Derrick Rose was rear-ended Tuesday afternoon while driving on the Kennedy Expressway.
Illinois State Police told WBBM Newsradio's Steve Miller that Rose was driving his 2011 Bentley on the Kennedy when he was rear-ended by another driver in a Saturn. State police spokeswoman Monique Bond said the crash happened at about 4:25 p.m. in the inbound lanes of the Kennedy Expressway near the Ogden ramp.
Police said no one was injured in the crash. A Chicago Fire Department ambulance responded to the crash, but Rose refused treatment and told police he would be checked out by his own doctor later.
Both vehicles had to be towed away from the scene.
The driver of the Saturn, 42-year-old Charles Tratwein, of Maryland, was ticketed for failure to reduce speed.
