Dent To Announce Bears' Second-Round Pick
CHICAGO (CBS) When the Chicago Bears drafted Richard Dent in the eighth round of the 1983 NFL Draft, they made one of the best decisions in the franchise's draft history. Bears fans are hoping that Dent's luck with the draft continues.
The NFL announced on Thursday that the second-round picks will be made by retired players from each team. The Bears' pick will be announced by Dent, the team's most recent NFL Hall of Fame member.
Dent spent 12 seasons playing for the Bears and was the MVP of Super Bowl XX. In his 150 career games, Dent recorded 137.5 sacks. He was voted into the NFL Hall of Fame on February 5, 2011.
The Carolina Panthers, Miami Dolphins and New York Jets don't have second-round pick, their representatives will announce their third round pick.
