Dennis Rodman Has Offered To Coach The Knicks
(CBS) The Knicks fired coach Derek Fisher on Monday midway through his second season of leading the charge.
As expected, speculation immediately began swirling as to whom the Knicks will next turn to next to coach them. Former Bulls coach Tom Thibodeau's name has come up from multiple well-connected reporters, though it's unclear whether Knicks basketball czar Phil Jackson would mesh with Thibodeau.
A name that wasn't expected? That would be Dennis Rodman, who has zero chance of getting the Knicks job but nonetheless offered to take it. Rodman, of course, was a key figure for Jackson during the Bulls' second three-peat in the 1990s. What's he's not is NBA coaching material, but his joke garners a chuckle anyway.
