Dempster, Wood Activated From DL; Maine, Wells Optioned to Iowa
(CBS) The Cubs activated Ryan Dempster and Kerry Wood from the disabled list Thursday and optioned Scott Maine and Randy Wells to Triple-A Iowa.
Dempster will start today's game in Cincinnati after going on the disabled list April 21 with a strained right quad.
Wood has been on the disabled list since April 20 with right shoulder fatigue.
