Demonstrators Occupy Michigan Avenue And Ida B. Wells Drive For Silent Protest To Draw Attention To Violence Against Black Women
CHICAGO (CBS) -- Protesters linked arms Wednesday night at the end of an hours-long demonstration downtown.
Dozens of demonstrators took over the intersection of Michigan Avenue and Ida B. Wells Drive through the evening and blocked traffic.
The peaceful and silent protest was organized to draw attention to violence against Black women.
The protest ended at 8 p.m.
